Livestock Feedlot Permit

Notice is hereby given per Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 116, that K & N Farms LLC (Neil and Kathy Yamry), has made application to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency or the County of Stearns for a permit to construct and expand a feedlot with a capacity of 500 animal units or more.

The existing facility consists of beef cattle and steers of 64.1 animal units in sheds and open lots. Broiler Chickens housed in the chicken barn at 260 animal units. The Proposed facility consists of Broiler chickens housed in 2 chicken barns at 520 animal units. Steers/Beef cattle in sheds and open areas at 170 animal units. The total animal units capacity will be 690.

Notice of Application for a 

Livestock Feedlot Permit

Notice is hereby given per Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 116, that James F. Scegura, has made application to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency of the County of Stearns for a permit to construct or expand a feedlot with a capacity of 500 animal units or more. 

The existing and/or proposed feedlot will be located in the T 126 N R 030 W Section 32, ¼ Section NE, Minnesota. The existing facility consists of 75 beef slaughter steers, 75 beef cow calf pairs, and 50,000 broiler chickens house in total and partial confinement buildings and open lots for a total of 415 animal units. The proposed facility consists of 75 beef slaughter steers, 75 beef cow calf pairs, and 88,000 broiler chickens that will be housed in partial and total confinement buildings and open lots. New construction will consist of an additional 60 by 624-foot broiler barn, a 24 by 40-foot compost building, and 20,000 square foot concrete permanent stockpile pad with 4-foot side walls. The total animal unit capacity will be 605.
