ON THE CREATION OF TAX INCREMENT FINANCING DISTRICT NO. 1-6

WITHIN MUNICIPAL DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT NO. 1 

AND

PROPOSED BUSINESS SUBSIDY TO MIDWEST ENTERPRISES



NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council (the “Council”) of the City of Avon, Stearns County, Minnesota, will hold a public hearing on Monday, August 7, 2017, at approximately 7:00 p.m., at the Avon City Hall, 140 Stratford Street East, in the City of Avon, Minnesota, relating to the (a) the proposed creation of Tax Increment Financing District No. 1-6 within Municipal Development District No. 1, (b) the adoption of the Tax Increment Financing Plan relating thereto, all pursuant to and in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, Sections 469.174 to 469.1794, inclusive, as amended (the “Act, and (c) the proposed business subsidy to Midwest Enterprises, in accordance with the requirements of Minnesota Statutes 116J.993 through 116J.995.  Any person with residence in, or owner of taxable property in, the City of Avon may file a written complaint with the City if the City fails to comply with the Minnesota Statute noted above.  If written notice is not filed with the City, no action may be taken against the City for failure to comply.  

The property included in Tax Increment Financing District No. 1-6 within Municipal Development District No. 1 is described in the Tax Increment Financing Plan on file in the office of the City Clerk-Administrator.  A map of the proposed Tax Increment Financing District is set forth below:































































































Copies of the Tax Increment Financing Plan and Business Subsidy as proposed to be adopted will be on file and available for public inspection at the office of the City Clerk-Administrator at City Hall.

All interested persons may appear at the hearing and present their view orally or in writing.
