NOTICE OF AND ORDER FOR HEARING ON PETITION FOR FORMAL PROBATE OF WILL AND APPOINTMENT OF PERSONAL REPRESENTATIVE AND NOTICE TO CREDITORS

It is Ordered and Notice is given that on July 21, 2017, at 8:45 a.m., a hearing will be held in this Court at St. Cloud, Minnesota, on a petition for the formal probate of an instrument purporting to be the decedent’s Will dated September 11, 2000, and for the appointment of Dennis Wentland, whose address is 43504 165th Avenue, P.O. Box 256, Holdingford, MN 56340, as personal representative of the decedent’s estate in an unsupervised administration.

Any objections to the petition must be raised at the hearing or filed with the Court prior to the hearing. If the petition is proper and no objections are filed or raised, the personal representative will be appointed with the full power to administer the decedent’s estate, including the power to collect all assets; pay all legal debts, claims, taxes, and expenses; sell real and personal property; and do all necessary acts for the decedent’s estate.

Notice is further given that, subject to Minn. Stat. § 524.3-801, all creditors having claims against the decedent’s estate are required to present the claims to the personal representative or to the Court within four (4) months after the date of this notice or the claims will be barred.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the period for filing affidavits of candidacy for the office of school board member of Independent School District No. 738 shall begin on  August 1, 2017, and shall close at 5:00 o’clock p.m. on August 15, 2017.  

The general election shall be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2017.  At that election, three (3) members will be elected to the School Board for terms of four (4) years each.

Affidavits of Candidacy are available from Linda Zapzalka , Clerks Designee, in the District Office.  The filing fee for this office is $2.  A candidate for this office must be an eligible voter, must be 21 years of age or more on assuming office, must have been a resident of the school district from which the candidate seeks election for thirty (30) days before the general election, must have no other affidavits on file for any other office at the same primary or next ensuing general election and has not been convicted of an offense for which registration is required under Minn. Stat. 243.166.

The affidavits of candidacy must be filed in the office of the school district clerk or clerk’s designee and the filing fee paid prior to 5:00 o’clock p.m. on August 15, 2017.

-Notice of Public Hearing-

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Minnesota Statute, Section 394.26, that the Stearns County Board of Adjustment, in and for the County of Stearns, will conduct a public hearing on Thursday, July 27, 2017, in Conference Room 121, Stearns County Service Center West, 3301 County Road 138, Waite Park, MN, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Purpose of the hearing is to consider the granting or denial of variances from the Stearns County Land Use & Zoning Ordinance, Stearns County Subdivision Ordinance, Stearns County Sewage Treatment Ordinance, Stearns County Recreational Campground Ordinance, Stearns County Lodging Establishments Ordinance, Stearns County Childrens Camps Ordinance and the Stearns County Manufactured Home Parks Ordinance as follows:

TOWNSHIP OF AVON

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Notice is hereby given that the Avon Township Planning Commission, County of Stearns, Minnesota, will conduct a public hearing on July 26, 2017 beginning at 7:40 p.m. in the Avon Township Hall (16881 Queens Road, Avon, MN).  The hearing will consider an application submitted by Jake Scepaniak (17469 Orchid Court, Avon, MN 56310) for a variance to construct an addition to his home 44 feet from the center of the road. This application, if approved, would permit construction closer to the road than is currently permitted.

All interested persons are invited to this hearing, at which time you may appear if you so desire, either in person or by agent, in opposition to or in support of the proposed changes.  The hearing of this request is not limited to those receiving copies of this notice, and if you know of any neighbor or affected property owner, who for any reason has not received a copy, it would be appreciated if you would inform him/her of this public hearing.  If you cannot attend this meeting, you may direct comments to the Avon Township Clerk.
