Notice to extend Feedlot Permit

Notice is hereby given per Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 116, that K & N Farms LLC (Neil and Kathy Yamry), has made application to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency or the County of Stearns for a permit to construct and expand a feedlot with a capacity of 500 animal units or more. 

The existing feedlot will be located at 20398 410th Street Albany MN SW4SW4 Sec 13 & SE4SE4 Sec 14 township 126 Range 031 in Krain Township,  Minnesota. The existing facility consists of beef cattle (slaughter steers, feeder cattle, cow/calf pairs and calves) and chickens, total and partial confinement barns, open lots and a compost barn, 690 animal units total. The Proposed facility consists of beef cattle (slaughter steers, feeder cattle, cow/calf pairs and calves) and broiler chickens, total and partial confinement barns, open lots, and a compost barn the total animal unit capacity will be 690. A 20’x40’ calf barn with a 20’x40’open lot is proposed to be built. 

This publication shall constitute as notice to each resident and each owner of real property within 5,000 feet of the perimeter of the proposed feedlot as required by Minnesota State Law.
