NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: The Sauk River Watershed District Board of Managers will meet at the District Office on Tuesday, August 21st, 2018, at 6:15 p.m. for the purpose of continuing consideration on the forgoing proposed final budget with a maximum administrative levy of $699,558.  The remaining budget will be met through additional non-property tax funding sources.  At such time, any interested person may appear either in person or by a representative and will be given an opportunity for a full and complete discussion of proposed budget set forth and contained above.

TOWNSHIP OF AVON

NOTICE OF TWO PUBLIC HEARINGS

Notice is hereby given that the Avon Township Planning Commission, County of Stearns, Minnesota, will conduct a public hearing on August 29, 2018 beginning at 7:10 PM in the Avon Township Hall (16881 Queens Road, Avon, MN).  This hearing, which was originally scheduled for July 25th, will consider an application submitted by Craig & Colleen Blonigen for a variance to construct an addition to their home at 18732 367th St., Avon (MN). This application, if approved, would permit construction 24 feet closer to the edge of 188th Avenue than is currently permitted.

Immediately following this hearing, the Avon Township Planning Commission will conduct a second public hearing to consider an application submitted by Craig & Colleen Blonigen for a variance to construct an addition to their home at 18732 367th St., Avon (MN). This application, if approved, would also permit construction 24 feet closer to the edge of 367th Street than is currently permitted.

All interested persons are invited to this hearing, at which time you may appear if you so desire, either in person or by agent, in opposition to or in support of the proposed changes.  The hearing of this request is not limited to those receiving copies of this notice, and if you know of any neighbor or affected property owner, who for any reason has not received a copy, it would be appreciated if you would inform him/her of this public hearing.  If you cannot attend this meeting, you may direct comments to the Avon Township Clerk.

The public is invited to attend these events.  Avon Township meetings are handicap accessible.

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Minnesota Statute, Section 394.26, that the Stearns County Board of Adjustment, in and for the County of Stearns, will conduct a public hearing on Thursday, August 23, 2018 in Conference Room 121, Stearns County Service Center West, 3301 County Road 138, Waite Park, MN, beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Purpose of the hearing is to consider the granting or denial of variances from the Stearns County Land Use & Zoning Ordinance, Stearns County Subdivision Ordinance, Stearns County Sewage Treatment Ordinance, Stearns County Recreational Campground Ordinance, Stearns County Lodging Establishments Ordinance, Stearns County Childrens Camps Ordinance and the Stearns County Manufactured Home Parks Ordinance as follows:

Public Hearings:

1. To consider a request from Steven & Pamela Himsl, Avon, MN from Section 6.7.5D of the Stearns County Land Use & Zoning Ordinance #439 to construct a new residential structure 290 feet from a registered feedlot.  Said Ordinance requires a 700 foot setback to an animal feedlot that is registered for 10 animal units or more.  Affected property:  All that P/O SE4 lying Nly of Nly ROW Norway Road, Section 26, T125N, R30W, Avon Township.  Property address:  14553 County Road 159, Avon, MN.

2. To consider a request from Noah & Sara Vanbeck, Freeport, MN from Section 6.7.6B of the Stearns County Land Use & Zoning Ordinance #439 to construct a new feedlot greater than 10 animal units on less than 10 acres in A-40 zoning.  Said Ordinance requires a 10 acre parcel size in A-40 zoning for a 10 animal unit or more registered feedlot.  Affected property:  Lot 1, Block 1 of Wilwerding Family Home, Section 27, T126N, R32W, Millwood Township.  Property address:  39105 County Road 11, Freeport, MN. 

3. To consider a request from Elmer & Genevieve Maciejewski, Avon, MN from Sections 6.56.2G & 6.56.3L of the Stearns County Land Use & Zoning Ordinance #439 to allow two temporary single family residential dwelling units on the same parcel.  Said Ordinance allows one temporary single family residential dwelling unit on the same parcel.  Affected property:  E1/2 NW1/4, Section 13, T125N, R30W, Avon Township.  Property address:  14183 360th Street, Avon, MN.
