     Melrose–Principal Bob Doyle said good morning to St. Mary’s students as they walked through the school doors just before 8 a.m. Wednesday. He calls them by first names and even adds tidbits of information about their life. It’s something he has done most schools days during his 38 years as principal.

    Melrose played all its seniors and just about everyone else in the 91-65 win over ACCG. The win gives Melrose an unbeaten home season. Brady Birch had 21 points and Dillon Haider 17 for Melrose.

    The Melrose Lady Dutchmen gymnastics team finished second at the state meet Friday.

    The team finished first on the vault and beam and second the bars. Melrose scored a 149..425, the best score every by a Melrose team at state, and set the state beam record.

    Individual competition is tomorrow.
