LIVESTOCK FEEDLOT PERMIT

Notice is hereby given per Minnesota Statues, Chapter 116, that the Florian Euteneuer Farm, has made application to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency or the County of Stearns for a permit to construct or expand a feedlot with the capacity of 500 animal units or more.

The existing feedlot is located in the SE 1/4 of section 25 in St. Martin Township, Stearns County, MN. The existing facility consists of 284 Dairy Cows under 1,000 pounds, 380 Dairy Heifers, 335 Dairy Calves and 220 Hogs for a total of 3683 Animal Units. The facility consists of Total Confinement Barns, Partial Confinement Barns and Open Lots. The current facility has an Earthen Basin, Below Barn Concrete Tank, Manure Pack and Stacking Slab manure storage areas. The proposed facility consists of 618 Dairy Cows under 1,000 pounds, 810 Dairy Heifers and 745 Dairy Calves. The facility will not be adding any additional building/structures. The total animal unit capacity will be 1400 Animal Units.

This publication shall constitute as notice to each resident and owner of real property within 5,000 feet of the perimeter of the proposed feedlot as required by Minnesota State Law.

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed bids will be received at the Melrose City Center, 225 1st St. NE, Melrose, MN 56352, until 1:00 p.m. on the 30th day of June, 2017, for furnishing 15 kV primary power cable for Melrose Public Utilities (MPU), at which time the bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud.

The general nature of the work on which proposals will be received consists of furnishing, delivering 15 kV primary power cable.

The above equipment shall be in accordance with the specifications and proposed form of contract now on file at MPU in said City of Melrose, Minnesota, by this reference made a part hereof, as though fully set out and incorporated herein.

All Bids shall be made on proposal forms furnished by the Engineer and shall be accompanied by bid security in the form of a certified check or bid bond, made payable to Melrose Public Utilities, Melrose, Minnesota, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, which security becomes the property of MPU in the event the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract and post satisfactory performance and payment bonds.

Material Bidders desiring a copy of the project documents for individual use may obtain them from the office of DGR Engineering, Rock Rapids, Iowa, telephone (712) 472-2531, fax (712) 472-2710, web site www.dgr.com, e-mail dgr@dgr.com, no deposit required.

Upon shipment of the complete equipment, the Supplier shall submit to the Owner a detailed statement of the equipment shipped. The Owner shall, within thirty (30) days after delivery receipt of the material and associated invoice, pay the Supplier one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price of the material.

Delivery of the material shall be by September 1, 2017.

MPU reserves the right to defer acceptance of any proposal for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days after the date proposals are received and no proposal may be withdrawn during this period. MPU also reserves the right to reject any or all bids and enter into such contract as it shall deem to be in the best interest of MPU. MELROSE PUBLIC UTILITIES

Notice is given that an Application for Informal Probate of Will and Informal Appointment of Personal Representative was filed with the Registrar, along with a Will dated July 21, 2016. The Registrar accepted the application and appointed Laura Ann Beuning, whose address is PO Box 142, Melrose, MN 56352, to serve as the personal representative of the decedent’s estate.

Any heir, devisee or other interested person may be entitled to appointment as personal representative or may object to the appointment of the personal representative. Any objection to the appointment of the personal representative must be filed with the Court, and any properly filed objection will be heard by the Court after notice is provided to interested persons of the date of hearing on the objection.

Unless objections are filed, and unless the Court orders otherwise, the personal representative has the full power to administer the estate, including, after thirty (30) days from the issuance of Letters Testamentary, the power to sell, encumber, lease, or distribute any interest in real estate owned by the decedent.

Notice is further given that, subject to Minn. Stat. § 524.3-801, all creditors having claims against the decedent’s estate are required to present the claims to the personal representative or to the Court within four (4) months after the date of this notice or the claims will be barred.

CITY OF NEW MUNICH

REPEAL OF ORDINANCE 53A AND 53B AND ENACTMENT OF ORDINANCE 90 ZONING

SUMMARY PUBLICATION

The City of New Munich has approved the repeal of Ordinances 53A and 53B and the enactment of Ordinance 90 in their place.

Ordinance 90: (1) Defines terms used in the ordinance; (2) establishes an official zoning map; (3) establishes general requirements for all districts; (4) establishes regulations for swimming pools; (5) establishes regulations for home occupations; (6) defines maximum heights; (7) regulates display of antiques in residential districts; (8) establishes requirements for off-street parking,  fencing, landscaping and screening, exterior lighting, and towers and antennas; (12) opts of the Minn. Stat. 463.3593; (13) establishes various zoning districts and provides for the allowed, accessory and conditional uses in each; (14) establishes the process for obtaining conditional uses, interim uses, planned unit developments,  variances, appeals, amendments and rezoning; (15) provides for administration and enforcement of the zoning ordinance; (16) sets forth regulations for nonconformities;  and (17) establishes violations and penalties. 

This material is a summary of the enactment of Ordinance 90.  The full text of Ordinance 90 is available for inspection by any person during regular office hours at the office of the New Munich City Clerk.

This Ordinance was adopted by the City Council of New Munich on June 5, 2017, and shall be effective upon publication.
