LIVESTOCK FEEDLOT PERMIT

Notice is hereby given per Minnesota Statues, Chapter 116, that the Florian Euteneuer Farm, has made application to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency or the County of Stearns for a permit to construct or expand a feedlot with the capacity of 500 animal units or more.

The existing feedlot is located in the SE 1/4 of section 25 in St. Martin Township, Stearns County, MN. The existing facility consists of 284 Dairy Cows under 1,000 pounds, 380 Dairy Heifers, 335 Dairy Calves and 220 Hogs for a total of 683 Animal Units. The facility consists of Total Confinement Barns, Partial Confinement Barns and Open Lots. The current facility has an Earthen Basin, Below Barn Concrete Tank, Manure Pack and Stacking Slab manure storage areas. The proposed facility consists of 618 Dairy Cows under 1,000 pounds, 810 Dairy Heifers and 745 Dairy Calves. The facility will not be adding any additional building/structures. The total animal unit capacity will be 1400 Animal Units.

This publication shall constitute as notice to each resident and owner of real property within 5,000 feet of the perimeter of the proposed feedlot as required by Minnesota State Law.

Special School Board Minutes

Melrose Area Public Schools

Wednesday, June 7, 2017 – 7:00 p.m.



Chair Heller called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.  Members present: Mr. Heller, Mr. Tomford, Mrs. Winter, Mrs. Feldewerd, Mr. Dufner, Mr. Heidgerken & Mrs. Uphoff.  Also present was: Mr. Rich, Mr. Doekott, Mr. Anderson & Greg Winter.

Mrs. Winter moved, with a second by Mrs. Feldewerd, to approve the Agenda. The Motion was unanimously carried.

Mr. Dufner moved, with a second by Mrs. Feldewerd, to approve changing FACS to a 70% teaching position for the 2017-18 school year. The Motion was unanimously carried.

Mrs. Feldewerd moved, with a second by Mr. Heidgerken, to approve the following resignations:

Karen Johnson – Elementary Teacher – Effective at the end of the 2016-17 school year

Jane Raeker – Kindergarten Teacher – Effective at the end of the 2016-17 school year

The Motion was unanimously carried.

Mrs. Winter moved, with a second by Mrs. Uphoff, to approve the Resolution to the Termination and Nonrenewal of the Teaching Contract of Jill Hanson a Probationary Teacher. Those voting in favor thereof: Mr. Dufner, Mrs. Uphoff, Mrs. Winter, Mr. Heller, Mr. Tomford, Mrs. Feldewerd, & Mr. Heidgerken. Those voting against: None. The Motion was unanimously carried.

Mr. Heidgerken moved, with a second by Mrs. Feldewerd, to approve the following contracts:

Karen Hoff – Elementary Reading Interventionist

Jill Hanson – 70% FACS Teacher for 2017-18

Jenna Orth – Physical Education Teacher & 9th Grade Girls Basketball Coach

The Motion was unanimously carried.

Mrs. Winter moved, with a second by Mrs. Feldewerd, to approve Policy 533.1 – Unpaid Meal Balance Policy. The Motion was unanimously carried.

Mr. Dufner moved, with a second by Mrs. Feldewerd, to approve the 2017-18 Calendar – Graduation Date change from May 25, 2018 to June 1, 2018.  The Motion was unanimously carried.

The Board tabled the Job Description for the Athletic Director due to changes identified.  No action taken.

Diana Konz presented the 2016-17 & 2017-18 Budgets. No action taken.

The Board had a work session regarding the operating referendum authority & other related operating referendum topics. No action taken.

Administrative & Board reports were given.

Chair Heller adjourned the meeting at 8:30 p.m.

Notice is given that an Application for Informal Probate of Will and Informal Appointment of Personal Representative was filed with the Registrar, along with a Will dated July 21, 2016. The Registrar accepted the application and appointed Laura Ann Beuning, whose address is PO Box 142, Melrose, MN 56352, to serve as the personal representative of the decedent’s estate.

Any heir, devisee or other interested person may be entitled to appointment as personal representative or may object to the appointment of the personal representative. Any objection to the appointment of the personal representative must be filed with the Court, and any properly filed objection will be heard by the Court after notice is provided to interested persons of the date of hearing on the objection.

Unless objections are filed, and unless the Court orders otherwise, the personal representative has the full power to administer the estate, including, after thirty (30) days from the issuance of Letters Testamentary, the power to sell, encumber, lease, or distribute any interest in real estate owned by the decedent.

Notice is further given that, subject to Minn. Stat. § 524.3-801, all creditors having claims against the decedent’s estate are required to present the claims to the personal representative or to the Court within four (4) months after the date of this notice or the claims will be barred.
