NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: The Sauk River Watershed District Board of Managers will meet at the Melrose City Center in Melrose, MN on Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at 6:30 p.m. for the purpose of continuing consideration on the forgoing proposed final budget with a maximum administrative levy of $701,493.  The remaining budget will be met through additional non-property tax funding sources.  At such time, any interested person may appear either in person or by a representative and will be given an opportunity for a full and complete discussion of proposed budget set forth and contained above.

Notice of Public Hearing

Notice is hereby given that the Stearns County Planning Commission, in and for the County of Stearns, will conduct public hearings:

1. To consider a request for a conditional use permit submitted by New Munich Solar LLC, Radnor PA on behalf of AG-GRO INC, Melrose MN according to Sections 4.8, 6.51 and 9.2.5T of Stearns County Land Use and Zoning Ordinance #439 to construct a 1MW community solar garden on approximately 10 acres in the Agricultural 80 zoning district.  The property under consideration is part of the SW1/4 NE1/4, Section 7, lying west of State Highway 237 and north of Riverview Road, Oak Township (125/32).  

Notice is further given that the above hearings will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2017 beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Stearns County Service Center West, Room 121B & C/D, 3301 County Road 138, Waite Park, Minnesota.        

A copy of the proposed requests are on file in the Stearns County Environmental Services Office, County Administration Center, Room 343, 705 Courthouse Square, St. Cloud, Minnesota and can be viewed during regular business hours. This request/information can also be viewed approximately one week prior to the meeting at co.stearns.mn.us by clicking on Board and Committee meetings.  Action taken on the applications will be available shortly after the meeting at the same web site location.  

All interested persons are invited to attend said hearings or submit written testimony prior to the hearing date, either in support of or in opposition to the proposed request.  Written testimony should be submitted to the Stearns County Environmental Services Department, Administration Center, Room 343, 705 Courthouse Square, St. Cloud, Minnesota 56303.

Sealed bids will be received at the Melrose City Center, 225 1st St. NE, Melrose, MN  56352, until 1:00 p.m. on the 24th day of August, 2017, for furnishing padmount switchgear with metering for Melrose Public Utilities (MPU), at which time the bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud.

The general nature of the work on which proposals will be received consists of furnishing, delivering padmount switchgear with metering.

The above equipment shall be in accordance with the specifications and proposed form of contract now on file at MPU in said City of Melrose, Minnesota, by this reference made a part hereof, as though fully set out and incorporated herein.

All Bids shall be made on proposal forms furnished by the Engineer and shall be accompanied by bid security in the form of a certified check or bid bond, made payable to Melrose Public Utilities, Melrose, Minnesota, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, which security becomes the property of MPU in the event the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract and post satisfactory performance and payment bonds.

Material Bidders desiring a copy of the project documents for individual use may obtain them from the office of DGR Engineering, Rock Rapids, Iowa, telephone (712)472-2531, fax (712)472-2710, web site www.dgr.com, e-mail dgr@dgr.com, no deposit required.

Upon shipment of the complete equipment, the Supplier shall submit to the Owner a detailed statement of the equipment shipped. The Owner shall, within thirty (30) days after delivery receipt of the material and associated invoice, pay the Supplier one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price of the material.

Delivery of the material shall be by: Box Pads September 15, 2017; Padmount Switchgear and Metering December 1, 2017

MPU reserves the right to defer acceptance of any proposal for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days after the date proposals are received and no proposal may be withdrawn during this period.  MPU also reserves the right to reject any or all bids and enter into such contract as it shall deem to be in the best interest of MPU.
