NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ORDINANCE AMENDMENTS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The Melrose Planning and Zoning Commission will meet at 6:30 p.m. on February 25, 2019, at the City Center, 225 First Street NE, in the City of Melrose, for the purpose of giving consideration to three ordinance amendments proposed by the City of Melrose to amend the text of the City Code of Ordinances and the City of Melrose Zoning Ordinance No.1989-1-A, as amended, and adopted by reference as Chapter 153 of the City of Melrose Code of Ordinances:  (1) Amending Section 700, Sign Regulations by repealing and replacing and/or amending the code related to Signage; (2) Amending Section 1100, Nonconformities and amending all relevant Ordinances regarding nonconformities; (3) Amending all relevant Ordinances to allow outdoor seating in the right-of-way when specific criteria are met.  

A copy of the proposed draft Ordinance amendments are on file at the Melrose City Center, 225 1st St NE, Melrose MN 56352 and are available for review during normal business hours.  Any persons that desire to be heard regarding the consideration of the amendments will be heard at this meeting. Important Information Regarding Property Assessments This may affect your 2020 property taxes.

The Board of Appeal and Equalization for Freeport City will meet on 4/23/2019, 7:00 pm - 7:30 pm, at Freeport City Hall. The purpose of this meeting is to determine whether property in the jurisdiction has been properly valued and classified by the assessor.

If you believe the value or classification of your property is incorrect, please contact your assessor’s office to discuss your concerns. If you disagree with the valuation and classification after discussing it with your assessor, you may appear before the local board of appeal and equalization. The board will review your assessments and may make corrections as needed. Generally, you must appeal to the local board before appealing to the county board of appeal and equalization.

The Freeport City Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, February 26th  beginning at 7pm or soon thereafter in Freeport City Hall (125 Main St E) to consider an ordinance amending the Freeport City Code, Section 500 amending Zoning, Planning and Land Use within the City of Freeport, Minnesota

Notice of Public Hearing

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Minnesota Statute, Section 394.26, that the Stearns County Board of Adjustment, in and for the County of Stearns, will conduct a public hearing on Thursday, February 28, 2019 in Conference Room 121, Stearns County Service Center West, 3301 County Road 138, Waite Park, MN, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Purpose of the hearing is to consider the granting or denial of variances from the Stearns County Land Use & Zoning Ordinance, Stearns County Subdivision Ordinance, Stearns County Sewage Treatment Ordinance, Stearns County Recreational Campground Ordinance, Stearns County Lodging Establishments Ordinance, Stearns County Childrens Camps Ordinance and the Stearns County Manufactured Home Parks Ordinance as follows:

SW4SE4, Section 28, T126N, R32W, Millwood Township.  Property address:  39014 County Road 167, Freeport, MN. 

All applications and related information are on file with the Environmental Services Department, County Administration Center, 705 Courthouse Square Room 343, St. Cloud, MN and can also be viewed approximately one week prior to the meeting at co.stearns.mn.us by clicking on Board & Committee Meetings.  Action taken on these applications will be available shortly after the meeting at the same website location.
