NOTICE OF AND ORDER FOR HEARING ON PETITION FOR FORMAL PROBATE OF WILL AND APPOINTMENT OF PERSONAL REPRESENTATIVE AND NOTICE TO CREDITORS

It is Ordered and Notice is given that on October 11, 2019, at 8:45 a.m., a hearing will be held in this Court at St. Cloud, Minnesota, on a petition for the formal probate of an instrument purporting to be the Decedent’s Will dated June 3, 1992, and for the appointment of Ralph Butkowski, whose address is 852 Brenner Avenue, Roseville, MN 55113, as personal representative of the Decedent’s estate in an unsupervised administration.

Any objections to the petition must be raised at the hearing or filed with the Court prior to the hearing.  If the petition is proper and no objections are filed or raised, the personal representatives will be appointed with the full power to administer the Decedent’s estate, including the power to collect all assets; pay all legal debts, claims, taxes, and expenses; sell real and personal property; and do all necessary acts for the Decedent’s estate. 

Notice is further given that, subject to Minn. Stat. § 524.3-801, all creditors having claims against the Decedent’s estate are required to present the claims to the personal representative or to the Court within four months after the date of this notice or the claims will be barred.

PUBLIC NOTICE OF EAW 

FOR CHURCH OF ST. MARY’S DEMOLITION

CITY OF MELROSE

STEARNS COUNTY, MINNESOTA

The Church of St. Mary is proposing to demolish the fire-damaged building located at 203 Fifth Avenue SE in Melrose, Minnesota, which sustained an arson fire in March 2016.  An Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) was required pursuant to Minnesota Rule 4410, because the church building is on the National Register of Historic Places.  The EAW evaluated the potential environmental effects of this project, which includes demolition of the church building, removal of building materials for re-use or disposal, and restoration of the site to an open, vegetated lot.   

The EAW is available for review in paper and online at:  the City of Melrose website at www.cityofmelrose.com.   The Great River Regional Library in St. Cloud at 1300 West St. Germain St, St. Cloud, MN 56301; and the Great River Regional Library in Melrose at 225 1st Street NE, Melrose, MN 56352.

Comments can be submitted electronically to Colleen Winter, City Administrator at cwinter@cityofmelrose.com or in writing at 225 1st Street NE, Melrose, MN 56352. Comments should focus on the accuracy and completeness of the EAW, and the environmental review and analysis of potential project impacts. 

All comments should be received by 4 PM October 30, 2019.
