The Sauk River Watershed District (SRWD) is requesting proposals for the excavation, maintenance, and repair of the JD #2 Sediment Ponds located in Todd County, Minnesota, Northwest of Lake Osakis. PROPOSED BUSINESS SUBSIDY for M&M HOLDINGS OF MELROSE LLC IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE OF LEGISLATIVE FUNDS 

GRANTED FOR FIRE RECOVERY

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council (the “Council”) of the City of Melrose, Stearns County, Minnesota, will hold a public hearing on October 19th, 2017 at approximately 6:00 p.m., at the Melrose City Hall in the City of Melrose, Minnesota, relating to the proposed Business Subsidy agreement with M&M Holdings of Melrose LLC, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 116J.993 through 116J.994, inclusive, as amended.  Summaries of the Subsidy Agreement as proposed to be adopted will be on file and available for public inspection at the office of the City Clerk at City Hall.

All interested persons may appear at the hearings and present their view orally or in writing.

A person with residence in or the owner of taxable property in the granting jurisdiction may file a written complaint with the grantor if the grantor fails to comply with sections 116J.993 to 116J.994.  No action may be filed against the grantor for the failure to comply unless a written complaint is filed.

Notice of Public Hearing

Notice is hereby given that the Stearns County Planning Commission, in and for the County of Stearns, will conduct public hearings:

1. To consider a request for a condition use permit for expansion in shoreland submitted by Tom and Sandra Herdering, of Freeport MN, according to the requirements of section 4.4, 4.8, 4.14, 6.7 and 9.3 of Stearns County Land Use and Zoning Ordinance #439 to construct a 100x180 total confinement barn with a 24x24 manure pump house, a 36x40 milk room and a 12x52 alleyway, along with a 54x96 total confinement barn and expand their milking herd from 245 animal units to 290 animal units.  The property under consideration is located at 27855 County Road 17, Freeport MN in the NE ¼ of the NE ¼ of T126N R32W Section 15 Millwood Township.  

Notice is further given that the above hearings will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2017 beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Stearns County Service Center West, Room 121B & C/D, 3301 County Road 138, Waite Park, Minnesota.        

A copy of the proposed requests are on file in the Stearns County Environmental Services Office, County Administration Center, Room 343, 705 Courthouse Square, St. Cloud, Minnesota and can be viewed during regular business hours. This request/information can also be viewed approximately one week prior to the meeting at co.stearns.mn.us by clicking on Board and Committee meetings.  Action taken on the applications will be available shortly after the meeting at the same web site location.

Regular School Board Minutes – Melrose Area Public Schools

Monday, August 28, 2017

Chair Heller called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.  The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.  The following members were present:  Mr. Heller, Mrs. Feldewerd, Mrs. Winter, Mr. Dufner, Mr. Heidgerken & Mrs. Uphoff.  Also present was Mr. Winter, Mr. Conrad, Mr. Anderson & Mr. Doekott.

Mr. Dufner moved, with a second by Mrs. Uphoff to approve the amended agenda.  The Motion was unanimously carried.

Mrs. Feldewerd discussed during the Open Forum some parents had concerns with the Germany trip.  No action needed.

Administrative reports were given.  No action taken.

Mr. Anderson gave a report on the 2016-17 MCA data.  No action taken.

Mr. Heidgerken moved, with a second by Mr. Dufner, to approve the Resolution Appointing Election Judges for the November 7, 2017 School District Special Election.  Upon a roll call vote those voting in favor:  Mr. Heller, Mrs. Winter, Mr. Dufner, Mrs. Feldewerd, Mr. Heidgerken & Mrs. Uphoff.

Those voting against:  None

Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.

Mr. Dufner moved, with a second by Mrs. Winter, to approve the GAPP (German-American Partnership Program Trip for the tentative dates of June 10, 2018 – July 16, 2018.  The Motion was unanimously carried.

Mrs. Uphoff moved, with a second by Mrs. Winter, to approve the Agreement for Cooperative Sponsorship of Boys’ Hockey.  Upon a roll call vote those voting in favor:  Mr. Heller, Mrs. Winter, Mr. Dufner, Mrs. Feldewerd, Mr. Heidgerken & Mrs. Uphoff.

Those voting against:  None

Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.

Mrs. Feldewerd moved, with a second by Mr. Heidgerken, to approve setting 2 dates for upcoming Special Board meetings:

• November 14, 2017 at 7:00 a.m. – Canvassing of Election Results

• September 20, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. – Superintendent Evaluation

The Motion was unanimously carried.

Mr. Dufner moved, with a second by Mrs. Winter, to approve the milk prices as presented.  The Motion was unanimously carried.

Mrs. Winter moved, with a second by Mr. Heidgerken, to adjourn the meeting at 8:05 p.m.  The  Motion was unanimously carried.
