NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, The Melrose Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, September 11th, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. at the Melrose City Center for the purpose of giving consideration to approval of the Final Plat of Shaggy’s Towing that is being developed on the West side of the City. The property is proposed to be platted to facilitate further industrial development.

The Property is described as follows:

That part of the West Half of the Northwest Quarter of Section 34, Township 126, Range 33, described as follows:

Commencing at the southwest corner of said West Half of the Northwest Quarter; thence North 00 degrees 18 minutes 54 seconds West , assuming bearing, along the west line of said West Half of the Northwest Quarter, 986.10 feet, to the intersection of a line drawn 500.00 feet northerly of, as measured at a right angle to and parallel with, the centerline of the Wobegon Trail, formerly known as the Burlington Northern Railroad; thence South 61 degrees 33 minutes 18 seconds East, parallel to said Trail, 653.02 feet, to the point of beginning of the tract of land to be described; thence continue South 61 degrees 33 minutes 18 seconds East, parallel to said Trail , 246.98 feet; thence North 44 degrees 41 minutes 06 seconds East, 265.57 feet, to the southerly right of way line of Riverside Avenue NW; thence North 62 degrees 20 minutes 37 seconds West, along said southerly right of way line, 325.93 feet; thence South 27 degrees 22 minutes 50 seconds West, 250.53 feet, to the point of beginning. 

A copy of the proposed request is on file with the Planning and Zoning Department, Melrose City Center, 225 1st St NE, Melrose MN 56352 and is available for review during normal business hours.

Any persons that desire to be heard regarding the consideration of the Preliminary/Final Plat of Shaggy’s Towing will be heard at this meeting.





The regular monthly meeting of the Oak Town Board, scheduled for Monday, September 4, will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at 8:30 p.m. at the Oak Town Hall.  The change is due to the Labor Day Holiday.
