ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed bids will be received at the Melrose City Center, 225 1st St. NE, Melrose, MN  56352, until 1:00 p.m. on the 24th day of October, 2017, for furnishing padmount switchgear with metering for Melrose Public Utilities (MPU), at which time the bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud.

The general nature of the work on which proposals will be received consists of furnishing and delivering:

• Padmount Switchgear with metering and associated boxpads

The above equipment shall be in accordance with the specifications and proposed form of contract now on file at MPU in said City of Melrose, Minnesota, by this reference made a part hereof, as though fully set out and incorporated herein.

All Bids shall be made on proposal forms furnished by the Engineer and shall be accompanied by bid security in the form of a certified check or bid bond, made payable to Melrose Public Utilities, Melrose, Minnesota, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, which security becomes the property of MPU in the event the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract and post satisfactory performance and payment bonds.

Material Bidders desiring a copy of the project documents for individual use may obtain them from the office of DGR Engineering, Rock Rapids, Iowa, telephone (712)472-2531, fax (712)472-2710, web site www.dgr.com, e-mail dgr@dgr.com, no deposit required.

Upon shipment of the complete equipment, the Supplier shall submit to the Owner a detailed statement of the equipment shipped. The Owner shall, within thirty (30) days after delivery receipt of the material and associated invoice, pay the Supplier one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price of the material.

Delivery of the material shall be by: Box Pads December 1, 2017; Padmount Switchgear and metering March 1, 2018.

MPU reserves the right to defer acceptance of any proposal for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days after the date proposals are received and no proposal may be withdrawn during this period.  MPU also reserves the right to reject any or all bids and enter into such contract as it shall deem to be in the best interest of MPU. Sealed bids will be received at the Melrose City Center, 225 1st St. NE, Melrose, MN  56352, until 1:30 p.m. on the 24th day of October, 2017, for furnishing an electric power transformer for Melrose Public Utilities (MPU), at which time the bids shall be publicly opened and read aloud.

The general nature of the work on which proposals will be received consists of furnishing and delivering:

One (1) New, 15/20/25 MVA at 55°C 16.8/22.4/28 MVA at 65°C, 

ONAN/ONAF/ONAF, power transformer, 

69 delta to 12.47 YGRD/7.2 kV with LTC and accessories

The above equipment shall be in accordance with the specifications and proposed form of contract now on file at MPU in said City of Melrose, Minnesota, by this reference made a part hereof, as though fully set out and incorporated herein.

Payment to the Bidder for the equipment shall be made on the basis of ninety percent (90%) upon the delivery and placement of the equipment; ten percent (10%) within thirty-one (31) days  after final completion, field testing, test report and documentation delivery, and acceptance by MPU.

Delivery of the material shall be by July 16, 2018. The required field work and testing shall be completed by July 26, 2018.
