Dorothy M. Kluver, age 90 of Sauk Centre, passed away peacefully Thursday, Nov. 19, 2020, at Bethany on the Lake in Alexandria.

A private funeral service will be held Friday, Nov. 27 at Zion Lutheran Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Marty Porter officiating. Inurnment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Sauk Centre.

Dorothy Marcene Kluver was born May 17, 1930, in Leaf Valley Township, Douglas County, to Rudolph and Ernestine (Fritz) Ziegelmann. On June 7, 1953, she married Ervin Kluver at Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Leaf Valley. Dorothy helped Erv through the years with doing all the bookwork for his businesses. They lived on Ash Street in Sauk Centre for 40-plus years and it was the family gathering place. Dorothy loved to have her children and grandchildren over.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and attended services at Bethany Community regularly. She enjoyed cooking, reading, puzzles and needlepoint, but mostly enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children, Greg (Nancy) Kluver of Sauk Centre, Steve (Susan) Kluver of Sauk Centre, Sharon (Dick) Ripka of Sauk Centre, Beverly (Thomas) Torstenson of Sauk Centre, Tammy (Brian) Grafsgaard of Minnetonka and John Kluver of Sauk Centre; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; and brother, Leroy (Joni) Ziegelmann.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Kluver on Sept. 25, 2016; parents; and brothers, Vernis and Gilbert Ziegelmann.

Serving as urn bearer will be Greg Kluver, cross bearer will be Steve Kluver, and scripture bearer will be John Kluver.
