Jeffrey H. “Jeff” Middendorf, age 63, of Grey Eagle, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, Jan. 6, 2021,  at his home in Grey Eagle, after a short battle with cancer. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 15, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Melrose with the Rev. Marvin Enneking officiating.  Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Melrose. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Friday at the church in Melrose.  

Jeffrey Henry Middendorf was born June 14, 1957, in Sauk Centre, Minnesota, to Conrad “Connie” and Ethel (Herzog) Middendorf. He attended Melrose High School and served in the Armed Forces for a short time before being medically discharged. Jeff worked at Long Prairie Packing, Jennie-O in Melrose and the Melrose Feed Mill.  He loved hunting and fishing, going to the casino and going to sporting events with his sons.  

Survivors include his sons, Travis Middendorf of Grey Eagle and Trevor (fiancé, Rachel Strzelecki) Middendorf of Sartell;  stepson William Boyes of Grey Eagle; girlfriend  Jeanie Boyes of Grey Eagle; step-grandchildren Molly and Gabe Tickler of Ohio; brothers and sisters Daniel Middendorf of Upsala, JoAnn (David) Voller of Upsala, Dennis Middendorf of Melrose, Glen Middendorf of Melrose and Diane (Allen) Herzog of Upsala.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, sister Judy Middendorf and godson Eric Middendorf.

Serving as casket bearers will be Tim Voller, Devin Voller, Brandon Voller, Brianna Middendorf, Sarah Herzog and Miranda Kulzer.  Cross bearer will be Nick Herzog, and scripture bearer will be Matt Herzog.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
