Notice is hereby given per Minnesota Statute 116.07 subd, 7 (a) that

has applied to Stearns County to modify a feedlot permit. The facility is located in the SE 1/4 of the NE 1/4, Section 11, Raymond Township.

The current facility is registered for 140 head of dairy cows over 1,000 pounds (196 AU), 80 head of heifers (56 AU) and 80 head of calves (16 AU) for a total of 299 animal units. Liquid manure is stored in a 138’ x 152’ x 9’ earthen basin and a 3600 square foot earthen basin for runoff manure. Solid manure is stored in pens with on floor pack storage. A 50’ x 100’ covered feed storage area with concrete floor is also included.

The applicant is proposing to expand to 310 dairy cows over 1000 pounds (434 AU), 185 head of calves (37 AU) and 65 head of heifers (45.5 AU). A 148’ x 280’ total confinement barn is proposed. Also proposed is a 188’ x 228’ x 19’ earthen basin for liquid manure and a 100’ x 250’ covered feed storage area with concrete floor. The total animal units will be 516.5 after expansion.

This publication shall constitute as notice to each resident and each owner of real property within 5000 feet of the perimeter of the proposed feedlot as required by Minnesota State Law.
