Marion E. Tembrock, 90, passed away peacefully Jan. 14, 2022, at home in Grey Eagle.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 21, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grey Eagle with the Rev. Ronald Dockendorf officiating. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Melrose following lunch. Visitation will be from 9-10:45 a.m., Jan. 21, at the church in Grey Eagle.

Marion was born Oct. 19, 1931, to Louis and Mary (Oevermann) Rehkamp. Marion grew up on the family farm near Melrose and graduated from Melrose High School in 1949. She worked in Melrose for two years for the city clerk’s office and Dr. A. H. Zachman’s office. She moved to Elk River in 1952 and worked for Rural Coop Power Association as a receptionist and then transferred to payroll where she worked until May 1960. 

Marion married Henry L. Tembrock Sept. 26, 1959, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Melrose. They lived in Elk River until 2014 and then moved to their home on Big Birch Lake near Grey Eagle.

Marion enjoyed traveling, fishing, gardening, cooking, baking and spending time with her family and friends. She was a blood donor and member of the Christian Mothers.

Marion is survived by her husband; four children Linda Hunt of Brooklyn Park, Sue Tembrock of Maple Grove, Jan Tembrock of Brooklyn Park, and David (Janelle) Tembrock of Lino Lakes; four grandchildren Nicole (Joel) Giedlinski, Jennifer Hunt and Carson and Joelle Tembrock; and one great-grandchild Jack Giedlinski.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son Richard; and brothers Leander, Robert and Walter Rehkamp.
