Cody J. Schuur, age 30 of Melrose, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2022, at his home in Melrose.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17 at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose with Pastor Paul Klassen officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home in Melrose.
Cody Jacob Schuur was born Jan. 30, 1992, in Coon Rapids to David and Nancy (Quinn) Schuur. He worked at D&D Pumping and Felling Trailers. He was an avid deer hunter and loved to be outdoors. He often times would be found in his parents’ shop working on his Chevy pickup or a John Deere Tractor and making a mess for dad. What he loved the most was his family and friends and showed that by bugging the hell out of them or borrowing their stuff.
Cody is survived by his children, Corbin and Shyanna Schuur; parents, David and Nancy Schuur of Sauk Centre; sister, Johnna Schuur of Sauk Centre; grandparents, Darwin and Fredericka Schuur of Elk River; mother of his children, Sam Page of Melrose; and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Cody was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Jolee; grandparents, June and Charlie Weisbrich and John Quinn; uncle, Jerome Quinn; aunt, Nancy Quinn; cousin, Kyle Weisbrich; and many other great aunts and uncles.
