Rosalie M. “Rosie” Loxtercamp, 80, of Big Lake, passed away peacefully Dec. 11, 2022, at St. Benedict’s Senior Community in Monticello.

A Mass of Christian Burial was Dec. 20 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Elrosa with the Rev. Mark Botzet officiating. Interment was in the parish cemetery.

Rosalie Martha Fiedler was born April 29, 1942, in Sauk Centre, to Edward and Martha (Wiener) Fiedler. She graduated from St. Francis High School in Little Falls and continued her education at St. Cloud Beautician School. On Oct. 29, 1961, she married Dennis Loxtercamp at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. After their marriage, Rosie became a housewife and together they raised their three children, Lisa, Greta and Marty. The family lived in northeast Minneapolis, then in Brooklyn Park and later in Big Lake. Rosie went back to work as a seamstress when Marty was in first grade.

Rosie enjoyed traveling, cooking, baking, quilting, sewing, gardening flowers and vegetables, going to the movies and just staying busy. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids.

She was a member of St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Monticello.

Survivors include her children, Lisa Emery of north Minneapolis, Greta (Raymond) Witzman of Princeton, and Marty Loxtercamp of Monticello; four grandchildren Alyssa (Dan) Kuder, Anthony Emery, Kimberly (Jake) Belanger and Cody (Meghan) Witzman; nine great-grandchildren Jaxon and Aurelia Kudor, Carter and Callah Emery, Jarryd, Loghan and Colton Belanger and Bentley and Brayden Witzman; and brothers and sister Jean (Patricia) Fiedler of Sauk Centre, Harold (Marilyn) Fiedler of Avon, Alicen (Ted) Barrett of Clearwater, Florida, and Daniel (Rita) Fiedler of Two Rivers, Wisconsin.

Rosie was preceded in death by her parents; husband Dennis Loxtercamp March 24, 2013; infant brother Edward George Fiedler; and brother James Fiedler.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

Arrangements were made with Patton-Schad Funeral & Cremation Services of Melrose.
