The meeting was called to order by Chair Winkels at 6 p.m.

3. Teaching & Learning Update
A teaching and learning update was provided covering SEL, Fastbridge testing, data retreats, and the new science curriculum/curriculum review cycles. The MCA data was reviewed – analyzing trends, areas of growth/opportunity as well as areas for improvement.
4. Security & Renovations Updates
Discussion was held regarding security items for the district – focusing on the office door/entry hardware systems. Integration with S2 was key for the new hardware/software to function properly for the district. The board also discussed transition camera systems at facilities and adding additional security cameras. Near-term priority will be given to correcting to the front door office entry systems.
5. Central Minnesota Educational Telecommunications System Discussion
The board held discussions about CMETS – analyzing the cost to the district verses the benefits of using their services. Because of the district using limited services through CMETS, there may be cost savings for the district by seeking alternative relationships for some technology services. The Technology Director reviewed what this may look like for the district.
6. Transportation Request for Proposal
The board discussed a Request for Proposal – RFP for transportation related services – to gain a better understanding of the different options and costs associated with them. Continuing discussion will be held in the future as information is obtained.
7. Grounds Reorganization
Mr. Okerlund provided an update on potential options for reorganizing this job description to provide better opportunities and efficiencies for the district. A long-range Grounds and Activities plan should be developed in conjunction with any changes.

Minutes Summary for October 5, 2022
School Board Work Session Holdingford Public School
The Holdingford School Board held a School Board Work Session on October 5, 2022. Members present: Evelyn Martini, Elissa Ebnet, Ed Feia, Sarah Binek, Lori Opatz and Pat Meier. Absent: Rob Knettel. Also attending was Superintendent Chris Swenson, Elementary Principal Jim Stang, Secondary Principal Tim Wege, Business Manager Garrity Gerber and District Adm. Assistant Linda Zapzalka.
Mr. Swenson shared a video with the Board highlighting tools students should have when they graduate to be prepared for choosing a career that fits them. He also presented career path data from the MN Employment & Economic Development. After discussion the consensus of the Board was to move forward with creating a plan so that HHS students have as many of the necessary tools as possible when they graduate.
Chair Feia moved on to the Superintendent goals discussion. The Board decided to take some time to gather more information prior to setting the Superintendent goals.
Chair Feia opened discussion on Board Goals. Two goals were established.
1. For each Board Member to complete at least one training through MSBA.
2. To develop A Portrait of a Graduate Plan with input from staff, business owners, administration and the board.
Next, Mr. Gerber presented Policy 704 Development and Maintenance of an Inventory of Fixed Assets and a Fixed Asset Accounting System revisions per guidance from the Auditors. The revisions are also compliant with GAZBE standards. He informed the Board that he will send out the list of fixed assets annually after the Audit.
Mr. Gerber summarized future facility projects. He explained that the transformer equipment is still eight months out. The replacement will take place next summer. The money has been set aside. Other project needs are a heater for the industrial shop. door #10 replacement, elementary school tuck pointing and a cement slab extending out from the Food Service area to hold the refrigeration units.
Mr. Swenson informed the Board that the LEEA Ceremony Banquet which honors four teachers falls on the same night as the Nov. Work Session. It was decided to change the Work Session to Monday Nov. 7th, 2022 @ 6:00 PM.

If you do not want to contest the claims stated in the complaint, you do not need to respond. A default judgment can then be entered against you for the relief requested in the complaint.
5. LEGAL ASSISTANCE. You may wish to get legal help from a lawyer. If you do not have a lawyer, the Court Administrator may have information about places where you can get legal assistance. Even if you cannot get legal help, you must still provide a written Answer to protect your rights or you may lose the case.

That part of Lot Six (6) and that part of Lot Thirteen (13) of Auditor’s Subdivision of Section 18, Township 125, Range 32, Stearns County, Minnesota, described as follows: Commencing at the southeast corner of said Section 18; thence North 01° 02’ 10” East (assumed bearing) along the East line of said Section 18, a distance of 661.73 feet to the southeast corner of the North Half of Southeast Quarter of Southeast Quarter of said Section 18; thence South 89° 58’ 04” West along the South line of said N 1/2 of SE 1/4 of SE 1/4 a distance of 1332.12 feet to the southwest corner of said N 1/2 of SE 1/4 of SE 1/4; thence North 01° 12’ 02” East along the West line of said N 1/2 of SE 1/4 of SE 1/4 a distance of 66.02 feet, said point being on the north line of Sixth Avenue East (as now built, constructed and monumented); thence North 89° 58’ 04” East along said North line of Sixth Avenue East 15.61 feet and to the point of beginning of the land to be described; thence North 01° 07’ 51” East 115.06 feet; thence North 80° 23’ 50” West 150.00 feet; thence South 09° 36’ 10” West 72.16 feet; thence South 57° 31’ 22” East 128.39 feet to said North line of Sixth Avenue East; thence South 89° 58’ 04” West along said North line of Sixth Avenue East 144.26 feet; thence North 08° 39’ 55” East 165.98 feet; thence South 80° 10’ 32” East 202.78 feet; thence South 01° 07’ 51” West 129.39 feet to said North line of Sixth Avenue East; thence South 89° 58’ 04” West along said North line of Sixth Avenue East, 28.65 feet to the point of beginning.
The object of this action is to determine the title and adverse claims to the above-described lands, to obtain the issuance to the persons entitled thereto of new certificates of title to any such lands that have been registered, to determine the title and adverse claims to the land described above, and to determine that the Defendants have no right, title, estate, lien, or interest in the above-described real estate.
No personal claim is made by Plaintiff against any of the Defendants.
